Sculptra®

Sculptra® is a synthetic biocompatible material that is used to smooth the ”parentheses” (nasolabial folds—the creases that run from the bottom of the nose to the corners of the mouth) and to restore and/or correct the signs of facial fat loss in individuals with human immunodeficiency virus.

The treatment is injected below the surface of the skin and provides a gradual and significant increase in skin thickness by stimulating collagen production, while improving the appearance of folds and sunken areas.

Although the results of this treatment are not immediate, for most patients the effects last up to two years after the first session. During that time, the gradual increase in skin thickness provides a natural look.
